On March 29, 2022, a pro-Islamic State (ISIS) Telegram channel which provides supporters with social media accounts announced two new accounts — one dedicated to providing accounts, and the other for phone numbers, to be used in opening new accounts. The channel noted that supporters can verify the validity of the newly launched accounts by contacting the group via the Conversations messaging app. The channel warned users against communicating with fake accounts purporting to be related to the group.
