On September 8, 2020, a Pro-Islamic State (ISIS) Telegram channel celebrated reports alleging that Western researchers had discovered an online archive containing tens of thousands of pro-ISIS media materials in several languages, but were unable to take the archive down because its contents was hosted across several countries. The channel credited the success of the archive to ISIS's "knights" of the media.
