Pro-ISIS Poster Calls To Supporters To Spread ISIS Content Beyond Facebook And Telegram, Exploit Trending Hashtags, Incite Muslims

August 24, 2020

On August 20 2020 a pro-Islamic State (ISIS) media outlet released a poster urging supporters on social media to continue their operations despite the wave of account deletions, and to continue trying to distribute pro-ISIS materials as widely as possible by being active on multiple platforms, noting that there are "hundreds" of sites beyond Facebook and Telegram. The poster then suggested posting "frightening videos" in groups frequented by "subjects of the Cross," or using trending hashtags to post videos and reports of ISIS attacks. Social media should also be used to preach ISIS ideology to Muslims, said the poster, in order to incite them to support ISIS, as well as to respond to criticism of ISIS on mainstream media.
