On October 14, 2021, a pro-Islamic State (ISIS) outlet on Telegram called for supporters to join its media team, saying it was seeking individuals with expertise in the following areas: managing Telegram bots, creating and running Telegram channels, engineering Telegram bots, authoring articles, gathering media material, knowledge of Salafi-jihadi creed and hadith, and creating social media accounts and obtaining phone numbers for supporters.
