On February 18, 2022, a pro-Islamic State (ISIS) outlet specializing in disseminating data security tips for ISIS supporters online, published a short clip in Arabic and English with a guide to installing and using the open-source smartphone app Locker, which allows users to set their phones to automatically erase all data after a predetermined number of unsuccessful attempts to unlock the phone.
