Pro-ISIS Outlet Reenacts Brutal Execution Scenes Using Video Game Footage

On March 14, 2021, a pro-Islamic State (ISIS) media group which is dedicated to producing ISIS-style video clips using real-time video game footage (known as "machinima"), produced a new ten-minute video using footage from the Grand Theft Auto V (GTA-V) engine, and/or a modified version of the game which includes ISIS-style character skins and 3D models such as vehicles. The video was distributed on the group's closed Telegram channel, accessible on-demand through a contact Telegram Bot. The video features a dozen scenes showing executions, some of which are direct reenactments of real ISIS executions.
