Pro-ISIS Outlet Recommends Most Secure Linux Systems

On September 28, 2022, a pro-Islamic State (ISIS) outlet specializing in disseminating information security tips published a poster in Arabic titled: "Are All Linux Systems Equally Safe?" The poster endorsed three of the "hundreds" of Linux distribution systems available: Qubes, an open-source operating system that provides "a strong level of security to computers"; Tails, an operating system for the TOR browser that enables one to "avoid electronic detection" and is recommended for "sensitive communications and coordinating important tasks"; and Whonix, which encrypts one's data using TOR and prevents one's IP address from being leaked.
