On May 12, a pro-Islamic State (ISIS) media outlet published a short English-language article on telegra.ph claiming to instruct readers on the way "human-based intelligence (Humint)" is gathered. The article warns that intelligence agencies put their targets under surveillance and then act to rattle them, to push them to react and expose themselves. This method is frequently used in Turkey as well as in some western countries, claimed the article.
