A pro-Islamic State (ISIS) media outlet recently published an article on its Telegram channel in which it urged supporters of the group to take part in media advocacy for its own sake. The author of the article posited that spreading ISIS's messages on social media wears down the "Crusader" enemy. He explained that since ISIS's enemies spend huge sums of money trying to mitigate the presence of its supporters on social media, participating in this activity is significantly damaging to them. Thus, social media advocacy is important as fighting on the battlefield.
