On January 25, 2021, a pro-Islamic State (ISIS) outlet released a video encouraging followers to extend their support to the group's newly launched social media campaign to free ISIS prisoners, and offering instructions for creating and using multiple Facebook and Twitter accounts in order to effectively disseminate pro-ISIS material.
The video recommended that supporters create accounts on Facebook using 2NR, a free cellphone number generator app that protects user privacy, and Temp Mail, which provides temporary email addresses. A tutorial then showed how to post pro-ISIS content in the comment sections of celebrity pages on Facebook.
On Twitter, the video continued, pro-ISIS users can make use of a Telegram bot which provides users with updated trending Twitter hashtags for ever country, which they can then use to disseminate pro-ISIS content. Additionally, the video recommended the use of the site JustPaste.it, which allows users to paste text and then provides them with a link to their content, which they can share on Twitter.
