On October 4, 2020, a video by a pro-Islamic State (ISIS) media group was uploaded to a Telegram group. The video showed footage of wreckage from Western attacks in the Middle East, from ISIS operations, and from the execution of prisoners by ISIS. The narrator explained that in response to increased efforts against ISIS's media organizations, ISIS supporters have created dozens of unofficial pro-ISIS media groups that independently publish information that is consistent with what is published by ISIS's official groups. He encouraged the ISIS supporters who are active in these groups, saying that their efforts are no less important than those of ISIS's fighters.
