On September 22, 2017, the pro-Islamic State (ISIS) Ashhad Media organization posted on one of its Telegram groups a call for Facebook hackers as part of the group's operations on social media.
The post was published on a recently-established Ashhad Telegram group that focuses on Facebook, especially on the recruitment and coordination of efforts to target the Facebook pages of ISIS's enemies.
Calling also on those with other skills besides hacking, the post expressed a need for individuals who can open Facebook accounts to be used by the organization later.
