Pro-Iran Poster: Social Media Users Who Criticize Iran-Backed Militias In Iraq Are Puppets Of The U.S.

On May 20, 2023, a Telegram channel which supports Iran-backed militias in Iraq released a poster claiming that the opponents of the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) and Iran-backed militias in Iraq are controlled by the U.S. The poster shows demonstrators - along with the flags of ISIS and Israel - as marionettes, with the U.S. as the puppeteer, in front of Capitol Hill, as they echo slogans on social media against the PMU and the militias. The words "The American Destruction" appear on the poster in Arabic.
