On August 10, 2022, a Telegram channel affiliated with Iran-backed militias in Iraq published a post text in Ukrainian asking if followers with ties to the Ukrainian army have access to the "toys" (i.e. weapons) of the U.S. and NATO, offering to "supplement" the salaries of those who do. The post noted the channel is especially interested in Javelin and Stinger air defense systems, and is offering payment in Bitcoin, Zcash, and even cash. The post included a screenshot of a website on the dark web which specializes in the illicit trade of weapons, offering the sale of "switchblade 300" drones, listing prices in USD and Monero.
