On August 13, 2022, the leader of an Iraqi Iran-backed militia tweeted an article in which called for supporters to do all they can to fight what he described as enemy propaganda efforts on social media and in mainstream media. He argued that the struggle on social media is as important as the Islamic ummah's military struggle.
