Media Outlet That Interviews Jihadi Militants & Figures In Syria Solicits Funds Via Bitcoin, Monero Cryptocurrencies

A media outlet promoted by an American media activist asked its audience on Facebook and Twitter for funds via the Bitcoin and Monero cryptocurrencies. The American media activist has interviewed Al-Qaeda-linked fighters in Syria and prominent jihadi figures such as Sheikh 'Abdallah Al-Muhaysini. While the activist says that the group presents an objective view of news from Syria, both the outlet and the activist himself are sympathetic to jihadis, although the activist is very critical of the Islamic State. During a June 2017 interview with Al-Muhaysini, the activist said: "A few days ago there was an assassination attempt [against you] but thank Allah it didn't succeed."
