On January 19, 2025, a media outlet linked to the Islamic State (ISIS) Pakistan Province published a poster in English and Arabic versions which calls to contribute "to jihad with wealth." The poster instructs supporters to make donations via Monero cryptocurrency, providing a Monero (XMR) wallet address and a QR barcode directing to it, as well as a Telegram account to contact.
