Jihadi Media Operative And Drone Manufacturer Dies Of COVID-19 In Syria

On October 18, 2021, a Syria-based Egyptian jihadi cleric published a post on his Telegram channel reporting that a prominent jihadi media operative had died from COVID-19 in Syria. The post said the Egyptian man was a longtime media operative before travelling to Syria to wage jihad, adding that he was also involved in the manufacturing of drones. The cleric's post linked to the operative's Twitter account, where his death was also announced.
