On December 1, 2016, it was reported that two major television channels in Israel had been hacked, with the attackers broadcasting a 30-second clip of Muslim holy sites and Koranic verses with the call to prayer playing in the background. Images were displayed during the broadcast with the Hebrew text: "God is the greatest," "God's punishment" and "the fire that inflames the heart."
