On September 23, 2021, the Islamic State (ISIS) released its official weekly magazine with an editorial calling on its supporters to redouble their efforts to recruit new jihadis. The editorial reminded readers that encouraging people to perform jihad is a responsibility clearly stated by Allah in the Quran and made it clear that attracting new recruits and migrant fighters to join the group is the ultimate outcome the group's media operatives should be aiming to achieve.
