ISIS Supporters Experiment With Gettr As New Platform To Disseminate Content, 'Bring Back The Glory They Once Had On Twitter, Facebook'

Over the past days, accounts belonging to supporters of the Islamic State (ISIS) were detected on Gettr, a new social media platform officially launched on July 4, 2021. Content disseminated by these accounts mostly includes videos and claims of attacks released by ISIS media.

Many of these accounts appear to be using fake names and vague photos on their profile to hide their real identity.

One active account states in its profile photo that it is "experimental." The account is devoted to posting ISIS claims of responsibility for attacks.

Another pro-ISIS account posted an ISIS video showing the group attacking an Iraqi army post with an English-language caption that reads "We are back."
