ISIS Supporter On Facebook Uses App That Generates Fake Personal Information To Access Suspended Facebook Account

On March 19, 2018, an Islamic State (ISIS) supporter on Facebook announced his return to the platform after a suspension. He told a friend that he used something called "Fake Apps Generator" to confirm his identity on Facebook. A search for "Fake Apps Generator" on Google brings up an app called "Fake ID Generator" in the Google Play Store. There are many apps for generating fake personal information in the Google Play Store. The apps generate information that can be used in accessing and creating social media accounts, including fake email addresses, passwords, and locations. The apps say they use a fake database to provide randomized profiles, and that the information given does not correspond with any real person.
