On March 31, 2018, Islamic State (ISIS) channels on Telegram posted two BitTorrent files containing all the official ISIS materials released in the Hijri months of Jumada Al-Awwal and Jumada Al-Akhira (January 18, 2018-March 18, 2018).
Torrents, which are well-suited for sharing large files or many files at once, are not commonly used by jihadis to share materials, but ISIS channels have been using them to share these monthly and weekly archives of official releases. The banner accompanying the BitTorrent file recommends using a VPN to connect to the service.
