In recent weeks, the Islamic State (ISIS) media apparatus has focused on highlighting the importance of media activity as a component of jihad. ISIS has long considered media activity an integral part of jihad and has often stressed its significance in its official and unofficial communications, encouraging supporters to assume an active role in its media efforts by producing, sharing, and distributing content online. ISIS' weekly magazine featured a full-page poster titled "Objectives of Media Jihad," listing ten priorities for media operations.
It is noteworthy that since its original release, the poster has been translated and distributed on official ISIS media channels in 12 languages. In addition, a French-language pro-ISIS outlet released a poster quoting the official ISIS poster, which also included a series of logos of various social media platforms.
