On December 28, 2020 Iran's Islamic Revolution Center for Digital Products and Publications issued a press release announcing the upcoming release of a computer game it produced, which depicts the "commanding leadership" of IRGC Quds Force General Qassem Soleimani, who was killed in U.S. airstrike in January 2020. [1] The game, titled "General in the Shadows" was described in the statement as a first-person action game "showing the events that occurred during the siege of [the Iraqi town] Amerli" by the Islamic State (ISIS), until "the arrival of Hajj Qassem Soleimani and his heliborne troops step in to break the siege."

In addition, an English-language mobile game titled "Shadow of Revenge" is slated for release on January 4th, 2021.[2] The game was developed for Android by Iran's Raymon Media Company, and depicts "advanced drones" completing missions under the command of General Soleimani, attacking "the bases of the enemy and the terrorist forces outside the country[,] such as the buildings, the vehicles, and infantry forces." The game depicts "a variety of weapons such as bombs and missiles" and "a variety of targets to aim and shoot at."
