Iranian Defense Ministry Unveils Its First Armed Drone, Mohajer 6, Equipped With Precision-Guided Bomb

On February 5, 2018, during a ceremony attended by Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, Iran's Defense Ministry unveiled its new Mohajer 6 combat drone armed with the Qaem precision-guided bomb. Hatami said the Mohajer 6 can carry out long surveillance, reconnaissance, and combat missions within a wide operational radius and can help Iran's military identify and destroy targets. He said the drone was capable of sending information to command centers during the day or night and could take off from and land on short runways.
