On July 28, 2022, a Syrian opposition website reported that experts from Hizbullah arrived at Palmyra, Syria, which is under the control of an Iran-backed militia, in a vehicle carrying Iranian-made training drones, in order to train militia fighters. The report also said that approximately 40 militia members recently arrived at an Iran-backed base east of Palmyra with a large quantity of weapons.
