On June 9, 2021, a Telegram channel that supports Iran-backed Shi'ite militias in Iraq posted that a senior member of a militia has instructed that drones will be used in an upcoming military demonstration. Included will be drones that have previously attacks U.S. forces in Iraq, as well as drones that are new additions to the group's arsenal.
