Iran-Backed 'Islamic Resistance In Iraq' Claims Attack On Eilat, Israel Using New Type Of Drones

On May 14, 2024 the Iran-backed umbrella group called Islamic Resistance in Iraq, which consists of several Iraqi Shi'ite militias, claimed that its fighters used two drones to target a vital site in Israel's city of Eilat late on Monday, May 13. According to the statement, the attack marks the first use of Al-Arfad suicide drones against Israel. Subsequently, the group released a video showing the launch of the drones.
