On October 21, 2024, a pro-Hizbullah Lebanese daily cited "a source close to the [Iran-backed Iraqi] Hizbullah Brigades" militia as having said that "a fleet of advanced drones is expected to be integrated in the military operations against the Israeli enemy," after the group has already carried out many attacks using Shahed-101, Shahed-136, and KAS-04 attack drones. The source said that the Hizbullah Brigades has advanced reconnaissance drones that "apparently" resemble those used by Hizbullah.
The article also cited "a member of the Iraqi resistance's media team" as having said that the Iraqi resistance has been using its drones and other weapons in a gradual fashion, beginning with the lighter weapons.
