Hizbullah Videos On X And Telegram Solicit Funds To Help Purchase Missiles And Drones

On May 27, 2024, Lebanese Hizbullah's Islamic Resistance Support Association (IRSO) released two short video clips soliciting funds from the group's supporters to help purchase missiles and drones to be used in its fight against Israel. The videos were posted on Telegram and X.

The Beirut-based IRSO is a key Hizbullah fundraising organization established in 1989, with representatives and branches across Lebanon. It was designated in 2009 by the U.S. Treasury Department. Ahmed Zein Al-Din, who heads the IRSO Department of Information and Connections, described the IRSO as "the link connecting citizens with the resistance," stating that it gives those unable to fight the opportunity to participate in the struggle against Israel.
