On July 6, during a ceremony to lay the cornerstone for a medical center in southern Lebanon, Hashim Safi Al-Din, chairman of the Hizbullah Executive Council, discussed the organization's recent drone operation targeting Israel's Karish gas field. Addressing the Lebanese people, he urged them to understand that Hizbullah is acting to strengthen Lebanon, while others are trying to destroy it, in service of U.S. interests.[1]
