On January 16, 2022, the military recruitment division of Syria's Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) released a video highlighting the enlisting process of new recruits and the different stages that they are required to pass before becoming fighters, including a religious course and physical and weapons training.
The video then called on people to enlist, listing contact information via WhatsApp and Telegram for recruitment centers across HTS-controlled areas.
