On August 8, 2018, Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham's (HTS) Ibaa' News Agency reported that an "unknown" group had attacked the Shayrat Airbase, which is located in eastern Homs, Syria, using drones. The agency, citing "local sources," said that "explosions have been heard near the airbase as a result of the criminal regime's air-defense response to them [i.e the drone attacks]."
