Hamas Military Wing Eulogizes Commander Who Developed First Palestinian Reconnaissance Drone, Killed In 2016

On December 15, 2021, the Telegram channel of Hamas' military wing, Izz Al-Din Al-Qassam Brigades, published a poster and a link to a video on its website, all eulogizing the organization's former commander, Tunisian national Muhhamad Mahmoud Al-Zouari, who was killed in 2016.

According to Hamas, Al-Zouari was an aerospace engineer, and was involved in the development and manufacturing of "many generations of drones." The video on the group's site showed footage of Al-Zouari and other fighters working on multiple drones.
