Hacker Group Affiliated With Iran-Backed Militias In Iraq Claims Cyber Attacks Against Ukrainian Stock Exchange, Ministry Of Veteran Affairs

On October 26, 2022 a hacker group affiliated with Iran-backed militias in Iraq claimed on Telegram that it hacked and shut down the Ukrainian Stock Exchange and Ministry of Veteran Affairs.

In a subsequent post, the group addressed a pro-Russian hacker group known, adding: "it's from Iraq to Mother Russia with love" – an indicator that the reported cyber attacks were intended to express support for Russia.

Despite the claim of responsibility, both websites were functional as of this reporting.
