Hacker Group Affiliated With Iran-Backed Militias Claims Responsibility For Disrupting Iraqi, Turkish Websites, Threatens Further Cyber Attacks

On April 23, a Telegram channel affiliated with Iran-backed militias in Iraq published a post that may be hint at an upcoming cyber attack targeting the infrastructure of an unidentified country. In recent days, the same channel has reported several cyber attacks targeting Israeli, Turkish, and Saudi websites. On April 24, 2022, the channel shared a graphic showing a hacker preparing to eat a meal comprised of a U.S. flag.

The same day, a hacker group affiliated with pro-Iran militias in Iraq published a statement claiming responsibility for cyber attacks targeting the websites of two Iraqi satellite TV channels. In another Telegram post, the group claimed responsibility for an attack on a Turkish security company.
