On May 20, 2019, the Gaza-based jihad group Jaysh Al-UmmahJaysh Al-Ummah released a short, 80-second promotional video about the "Equip A Fighter" fundraising campaign, on the Al-Raya Telegram channel. The group recently relaunched the campaign on social media for Ramadan.

The video presented the campaign as raising funds to "equip your brothers the mujahideen in the Salafi Jaysh Al-Ummah in Jerusalem to fight the usurper Jews and implement Allah's shari'a." It stated that the "motives and reasons" behind the "Equip A Fighter" campaign are to "raise the word of monotheism in Palestine and implement Allah's shari'a on Allah's land; to support the oppressed and counter the belligerence of the unbelievers; to liberate the sacred places and support the people of monotheism in Palestine; to support the call of Ahl Al-Sunnah Wal-Jama'ah [i.e. Sunnis] in confronting the groups of falsehood and deviation... to sponsor the orphans and the families of martyrs; and to support the heroic detainees and wounded [fighters]." The video reiterated the multiple ways donors could contact the campaign.[1]
