Cyber Experts In Oman Warn Citizens Of 'Typosquatters'

On August 20, 2017, it was reported that cyber experts in the kingdom of Oman had warned residents of 'typosquatters' trying to steal their information. Typosquatting is the practice by cyber scammers or blackmailers of buying internet domain names that are very similar to the names of popular websites. They do this in order to exploit internet users who mistype the name of the popular website and stumble onto the scammer's false website.
