Bahraini Hackers Target Israeli, Bahraini Websites, Claim Cyber Attack, Voice Opposition To Israeli Presence In Bahrain, Support For Bahraini Opposition

On February 14, 2023, a Bahraini group claimed that it has hacked Israeli and Bahraini websites. The alleged cyber attack coincided with the 12th anniversary of the Shi'ite uprising in Bahrain, known by protesters as the "Day of Rage," which took place on February 14, 2011. The previous day, the group claimed a cyber attack on a Bahraini  state-run media outlet.

In a tweet, the group claimed it hacked "hundreds" of Israeli websites in protest of Israeli presence in Bahrain. In a second tweet, the group claimed to have hacked several Bahraini websites, explaining that the attacks were "in support of the revolution of our oppressed people of Bahrain."
