An article in the latest issue of the Islamic State's (ISIS) English-language magazine called on readers to use social media to wage jihad.
Criticizing the West for attempting to win the hearts of minds of Muslims, the article, titled "The Crusade War," emphasized that jihad is not limited to fighting physically. It said: "In this age, social media warfare holds the utmost importance as the media and social media personalities are enchanting the eyes of the people. Fighting in this field needs to be done in order to incite the believers and save other Muslims from the negative impact of the enchanting battle for hearts and minds."
