Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) has re-released its new English-language magazine, Inspire. The magazine was first released on June 30, 2010, but the file was corrupted. Shortly thereafter the Al-Falluja forum, the only first-tier jihadist web forum in operation at the time, experienced an extraordinary meltdown, reportedly occasioned by the hacking of one its moderators' accounts.[1]
We wrote in previous reports, and in the JTTM weekly, that the magazine itself appeared to be an authentic AQAP production, the strange circumstances surrounding its original release notwithstanding. The newly-released full version appears to confirm this hypothesis. The content, though in English and tailored to a Western Muslim audience, is appropriate for an Al-Qaeda release.
