Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) has re-released its new English-language magazine, Inspire. The magazine was first released on June 30, 2010, but the file was corrupted. Shortly thereafter the Al-Falluja forum, the only first-tier jihadist web forum in operation at the time, experienced an extraordinary meltdown, reportedly occasioned by the hacking of one its moderators' accounts. We wrote in previous reports, and in the JTTM weekly, that the magazine itself appeared to be an authentic AQAP production, the strange circumstances surrounding its original release notwithstanding. The newly-released full version appears to confirm this hypothesis. The content, though in English and tailored to a Western Muslim audience, is appropriate for an Al-Qaeda release.
