Al-Qaeda Document Posted On Jihadi Website Instructs Mujahideen In 'Dealing With Special Forces Attack'

October 10, 2012

On October 9, 2012, the jihadi website Shumoukh Al-Islam posted a document by one "Bader Al-Subhi" titled "Dealing With Special Forces Attacks." The document, dated October 2012, included a list of suggestions for mujahideen regarding what to do if attacked by special forces; one suggestion was to dig escape tunnels through which they could flee, and another was to plant bombs in locations from which special forces could be expected to attack, to be detonated at an opportune moment.

The document was produced by the Al-Qaeda media company Al-Fajr.

The following are the document's main points:

Al-Subhi claims that the mujahideen must believe with all their might in the justice of their path, because this faith will uproot from their hearts all fear of the enemies of Islam and their sophisticated technological equipment, and will lead them to recognize that these forces have little training in using their weapons and are nothing but sniveling cowards - while every single one of the mujahideen "storms dozens, even hundreds [of men] with his head and breast exposed, remaining smiling, calm, and determined, and aspiring to death."
