Al-Qaeda-Associated Writer: U.S. Uses Drones To Threaten Security Of Afghanistan And Its Neighbors

On April 11, 2023, an Al-Qaeda associated writer published an article arguing that the U.S. is determined to turn Afghanistan into a center of regional threat by occupying Afghanistan's airspace with a drone system and fostering ISIS as the "force on the ground" to destabilize the internal security of the Islamic Emirate and neighbors.

He wrote: "There are indications of the possibility of a drone system with strategic capabilities operating from Afghanistan to breach the security of countries targeted by the United States such as Iran, China, and Russia, without causing any negative impact to America's allies that host these drones, especially Pakistan, Qatar, and the [United Arab] Emirates. [...] In clearer terms, America's aerial occupation of Afghanistan's airspace threatens Afghanistan domestically as well as its most important neighbors in the region."
