Leading Jihadist Website Advises Muslims Living in the U.S. How They Can 'Fight the American Enemy' on U.S. Soil

On May 13, 2010, a jihadist website released a document titled "Woe to America: New Jihad Fighters That Intelligence Apparatus Cannot Trace."

A writer who calls himself "Shamikh Muharrid" posted the document on Al-Shumukh, dated "May 2010," in the form of a letter "from Osama [bin Laden] to [U.S. President Barack] Obama" and issued by the Righteous Da'wa Research Foundation. The letter was also posted on other jihadist websites, including Al-Fallujah. Appended to the letter were the photos (below, top to bottom) of failed Christmas Day bomber Umar Farouq Abdulmutallab, Fort Hood shooter Maj. Nidal Hasan, and failed Times Square car bomber Faisal Shahzad.

The letter makes clear to these jihadist website's Muslim readers residing in the U.S. that any one of them is capable of carrying out an attack against targets on U.S. soil.
