Mohammad Reza Bagheri, who is a TV host on Channel 3 (Iran), said on an October 8, 2023 morning show that there should be no mercy for Israeli women or "old ladies" wounded or killed in the Hamas invasion of southern Israel. He said: "They are wounded [or] killed? To hell with them!" He said that Israel is the aggressor, and he compared Israelis wounded in the invasion to a person who took over another person's home and complains that he chipped his nail when the other person attempts to take it back. During Hamas's October 7, 2023, invasion of southern Israel, nearly 1,000 Israelis were murdered, thousands were injured, and over 100 were taken captive, many of them children and elderly.
