Iraqi Sunni Politician Al-Dulaimi: The 'Persian Personality' Understands Nothing But Force

Following are excerpts from an interview with Iraqi Sunni cleric and politician Taha Hamid Al-Dulaimi, which aired on Safa TV on January 17, 2012.

Taha Hamid Al-Dulaimi: "When facing the Persian personality, you have no choice but to use force. They understand nothing but force. They hold force to be sacred, and they worship it.

"Whenever they are in power, they want you to worship them, but when they are ruled by others who are stronger, they lick their boots."

Interviewer: "They become submissive..."

Taha Hamid Al-Dulaimi: "To the point of masochism.

"The Persian personality is characterized by insolence. Obviously, this is not necessarily limited to Persians. An Arab may also have a Persian personality. In addition, one may be Persian without having a Persian personality. There are exceptions to the rule. Not all Persians have a Persian personality."

Interviewer: "Right."

Taha Hamid Al-Dulaimi: "In my view, the Persians constitute a phenomenon, not a race, even though they originated from the Persian race." [...]
