Lebanese Commentator: The Jews Are Bringing A Second Holocaust Upon Themselves

June 6, 2012
Special Dispatch No. 4776

In his May 7, 2012 column in the Qatari daily Al-Raya, Lebanese author and commentator Jihad Fadhl claimed that the Jews' treatment of the Palestinians, their crushing of the Palestinians' hope to establish an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital and their efforts to Judaize Jerusalem and the West Bank, would bring about a second Holocaust against them. He blamed antisemitism, both old and new, on the arrogant and immoral behavior of the Jews. He said that they suck the blood of the peoples they live amongst and fail to assimilate into the host societies, and that Hitler's actions against them were a response to this behavior. Fadhl went on to say that the Jews have succeeded in brainwashing the U.S. and the other influential countries and in subjugating them to their will, so that now they can get anything they want – except for an end to the hatred of the Palestinians and the rest of their enemies, who will pursue them until Jerusalem and the rest of Palestine are liberated.

The article is another manifestation of a relatively new phenomenon in Arab antisemitism: instead of denying the Holocaust, some blame the Holocaust on the Jews and express hope for its recurrence. A prior example of this is a statement by International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) Chairman Sheikh Yousuf Al-Qaradhawi. He said on Al-Jazeera TV: "Throughout history, Allah has imposed upon the [Jews] people who would punish them for their corruption. The last punishment was carried out by Hitler. By means of all the things he did to them – even though they exaggerated this issue – he managed to put them in their place. This was divine punishment for them. Allah willing, the next time will be at the hand of the believers [i.e., the Muslims]."[1] Another example was a documentary on the Egyptian channel Al-Rahma TV that presented footage of death camps and corpses of Holocaust victims, while the narrator said: "This is what we hope will happen, but, Allah willing, at the hand of the Muslims."[2]

The following are excerpts from Fadhl's article:[3]

"Antisemitism Is A Response To The Jews' Behavior"

"Are the Jews, more than anyone else, responsible for the spread, past and present, of the peoples' hatred toward them, most recently [in the case of] the Palestinian and Arab peoples? The answer is most likely yes. In other words, the Jews stirred up so-called antisemitism – loathing of the Jews to the point of aggression – before anyone else did.

"Their exceedingly immoral behavior toward these peoples gives rise to an immediate reaction that may reach the point of stupidity, crime, and disgrace, such as when Nazism shoved thousands of them into mass crematoria. Hitler did not do what he did due to any mental deviation, but essentially because of a dominant Jewish trait that makes [the Jews'] assimilation into the host societies extremely difficult, while making it easy [for the Jews] to suck the blood of these same peoples without suffering any pangs of conscience. [For the Jew,] the most important thing is the Jew and his interests, while the others, or 'gentiles', as they call them, are most likely considered subhuman, which is the basis for the Jews' treatment of them.

"Some people think that the German hatred of them was only one fleeting moment in the peoples' loathing towards them. However, I was surprised when a Russian friend of mine who has assimilated into Arab [society] told me that, though the Germans earned a reputation [for persecuting the Jews], the act [itself] was Russian. The Russians hate the Jews [even] more than the Germans, but the problem is that the peoples are afraid to confront [the Jews], because of their influence and the severe harm they are capable of doing [to those who confront them]. The Americans themselves could have taken the lead in restraining [the Jews, had not] the Jews succeeded in taming and subjugating them by brainwashing them [to believe] that their Torah is the holy book upon which the New Testament is based, and that the establishment of the State of Israel is a prelude to the Messiah's anticipated [second] coming, without which the Messiah will not return."

Even The Jewish God Avoids Confronting Them For Fear Of Reprisal

"Throughout Arab history, the Jews did not pose a serious problem for the Muslims. Their political influence in the Hijaz region was eliminated early on, and they became wretched minorities in many cities of the Arab kingdoms, in both the east and the west. Yet they [nonetheless] found security, protection, and [religious] freedom. Former Israeli Foreign Minister Abba Eban said that the Jews never lived so peacefully as they did in Andalusia under the Islamic rule. This is why some analysts in the first half of the 20th century expected that Palestine would be [the place] where the Jews would find a magical cure for their exhausting search [for a homeland]. They would coexist with the Palestinians, and both peoples would have one or two countries and coexist in [mutual] friendship, or something resembling friendship.

"But history completely refuted this expectation. The Jew disembarking at the port of Haifa in the time of the British mandate regarded the Palestinians the same way the European disembarking on the shores of New York regarded the dark-skinned natives of America. [The Jew in Palestine considered] the Palestinian a dark-skinned [savage] with a contemptuous nature... and [believed that] colonialists coming from the civilized world could do whatever they wished in order to civilize them - and that if they refused to become civilized, there was nothing wrong with uprooting them.

"The Jews treated the Arabs of Palestine... in a way that future generations will not believe. And if [the past] is well enough known, what they are doing today is [even harder] to believe: Judaizing Jerusalem and the West Bank, and keeping the Palestinians from having a glimmer of hope [that they may one day] establish [even] a reasonable mini-state. The Jews have [also] insisted on burying alive any Palestinian hope to have Jerusalem as the capital of their mini-state, ever since they occupied Arab Jerusalem in the Nakba of 1967, with the intention of annexing it in full to the State of Israel.

"[In the past], they did unimaginable things, and today, they are doing things that could only originate in a satanic and abnormal mind. They are now implementing a project to build 2,600 settler [housing] units and 1,200 new hotel rooms in Jerusalem. In doing so, they are completing a settlement strip that cuts off Jerusalem from Arab Bethlehem, and prevents [even] a single bird from entering [Jerusalem] from the direction of the West Bank. They have altered and continue to alter the city's demographics, thereby snuffing out any hope of reaching a peace agreement with the Palestinians.

"All this perturbed the Jews who are sane, or who [at least] call for peace, who protested, but in vain, of course. Even if the entire world protested – and the noble people [of the world] often do – no one could change a single letter of the [plans] they intend to execute. According to what appears in their Talmud, even their God himself... repeatedly avoided confronting them, knowing well what punishment he might incur!"

The Palestinians Will Pursue The Jews Until The End Of Days

"In light of this, by doing what they do to the Palestinians and to the Muslim Arabs in general, the Jews are paving the way for a new Holocaust that will harm them sooner or later, a Holocaust similar to the one that befell them in the early 1940s in Auschwitz and elsewhere. Every crime is eventually punished – especially the innumerable crimes committed [by the Jews] in Palestine and Jerusalem from the time of the British mandate until today.

"How can you keep your sanity while watching your house being stolen from you by a foreign thief or murderer or killer, while you sit in the miserable shack UNRWA helped you to build in a [refugee] camp overlooking your [former] home? The Jews destroyed 500 Arab villages in Israel to the very last one, building whatever they wanted in their place and dispersing their residents to the horizons – just as they [themselves] were uprooted before coming to Palestine to do what they did to its Arab people. The Jews think that everything is over and done with, that the Palestinians who left their land can go on with their lives in the lands they fled to, that it will be no problem to compensate them someday, and that Western countries can provide them with additional aid.

"In the present era, the Jews can do anything they wish. All the influential countries in the modern world are at their disposal, including Russia and China. They can, for instance, demand to pass laws against doubting the veracity of the Holocaust... – despite the fact that the Holocaust is a matter for historians and history. But there is one thing they cannot do, which is to prevent their enemies, chiefly the Arabs of Palestine, from hating them and pursuing them until the end of days, until Jerusalem and every inch of Palestinian land is freed from their impurity, liberated, and restored [to its state as a] flourishing Palestinian [country], perfect in its Arabness and purity."
