On January 23, 2012, the pro-Syrian Lebanese daily Al-Akhbar published an article by Hathem Al-Moussawi describing the extensive activity of the mujahideen in Lebanon, as emerged from a series of meetings that he held with Salafi-jihadis across the country over the past four months.
