In a new 22-minute video produced by Al-Sahab, Al-Qaeda's media wing, Al-Qaeda deputy leader Ayman Al-Zawahiri says that the Pakistani Army's planned offensive in Waziristan will backfire on Pakistan and NATO, and calls it a "path of perdition for the apostates in Pakistan and the Crusaders in Afghanistan." The video was posted on jihadist websites on August 28, 2009.
